Hella's TC-400 Tire Pressure Monitor offers a fully active, radio-controlled system for permanent monitoring of tire pressure and temperature. The system meets or exceeds all OE systems and is FMVSS 138 compliant.
High-tech sensors replace the tire valves and transmit pressure and temperature by radio to the central unit, which in turn forwards this data to the cockpit display. A total of 7 sensors can be used with the system to additionally monitor spare or trailer tires. Each sensor is labeled LF, LR, RF, RR, but the system can be programmed to new locations after tire rotation or wheel replacement.
The background color of the display can be adjusted to seven different colors to match the vehicle instrument lighting: blue, red, green, orange, light orange, white, or light blue.

TPMS Alerts
- Each tire can be monitored separately by highlighting the appropriate tire symbol on the display
- Measurements of tire pressure are available in both PSI and Bar units
- The temperature gauge on the sensor allows the driver to determine the accuracy of the reading as the tires expand and contract from outside air temperature
- Temperature readings are available in both Fahrenheit and Celsius
- When radio contact has been lost, the antenna symbol will light up
- Air symbol warning appears to indicate a sudden loss of pressure such as a blowout (3 PSI or .2 bar within 1 minute)
- If tire overheats, the temperature gauge triggers visual tire pressure warning symbol on the display
- In event of sudden pressure loss, the control unit triggers an optical and acoustic alarm
